The death has been announced of Lolo Cecilia Nwaogoure Oparaocha, the mother of Engr. Allen Onyegbule Oparaocha, Managing Director/Chief Executive of Rohan West Africa Limited and Rohan Marine Limited, as well as Executive chairman of Eager Investments Limited (Publishers of Dredging & Exploration Magazine). Lolo Oparaocha, a native of Ukwuinyi village in Nkwerre LGA of Imo State of Nigeria passed away on 28 January 2008 after a brief illness.
She was aged 86..A successful business woman and homemaker during her life time, Lolo Oparaocha was a devoted Christian and a leader in the Anglican Communion. She was regarded as a consummate role model and community leader by many people as a result of her charity, good nature, hard work and exemplary life style. She is survived by seven children among whom is Engineer Allen Onyegbule Oparaocha, one of Nigeria’s most highly respected and internationally recognized marine engineers and consultants, 34 grand children and 4 great-grand children.The funeral rites as announced by the family took place between April 10-13, 2008 at Nkwerre, Imo State, South East, Nigeria.
