EDITORIAL SUITE : - Right On Rebound

I hinted on this page sometime last year about the changes and adjustments which this magazine making in response to changes in global communication technology, business climate and other applicable variables.

This trend is a continuous process as we have made some conscious and verifiable business and editorial improvements which are all tailored towards making the publication more attractive and qualitative to readers as well as viable to stakeholders and potential investors.

First, we took the strategic step to open an Abuja Bureau in the Federal Capital and appointed Stella Alozie, a dashing young lady and journalist with consummate marketing flair as our coordinator. The immediate fallout of this development is the interesting interview which our high-flying Energy correspondent, Olalekan Adeoye got from the current Minister of Petroleum, H. Odein Ajumogobia in Abuja.

Then we got Charles L. Allagoa, a suave, business-minded professional to be in charge of our Port-Harcourt and Niger Delta interests. We shall update this arrangement to a full-fledged bureau as soon as things normalize in the delta region.

Editorially too, we have appointed a thorough-bred Marine Correspondent in the person of Melody Nwobia. I promise you that henceforth, you can only get some of the most informative and incisive marine reports in this magazine, because my guy is equal to the task. Check out his treatise on APM Terminals (pages 30-31). and some of his pioneer stories on the news pages. You will see why I trust him. It gives me great joy to present the giant strides and inroads being made by B & Q Dredging Ltd. Not many people knew that Dr. Ernest Azudialu (of Nestoil Group fame) is equally behind this burgeoning dredging behemoth, with more than a dozen active dredgers and counting. This motivated me to seek him out and project his business as a model for other Nigerian entrepreneurs. It was a project which took me more than six tasking months to accomplish, but at the end, it's WOW to a silent dredging business revolution in the making! It merited to be our cover story, an exclusive package you can't find anywhere else! I couldn't have chosen a better edition to have a chat with Engr. Jean Maari of IHC, Holland, our strong supporter and advisor. No point blowing his trumpet but when you know him, you will understand why his company is a global leader, by miles, in dredging and marine technology. His views are quintessential proof of the quality and class trademark of IHC and Dredging & Exploration. These, coupled with other exclusive features and outputs such as the thoughts of friend of the house, Dr. Olumide Amos-Oluwole of Shoreline Dredging in this edition will definitely make your day. It will please me greatly to get your reactions to our stories or presentations via text messages or emails. We shall strive to give you the best bargain!

Catch you on the rebound!
